Introduction to Focus Groups (Online - 2 Sessions)

 

Focus groups are commonly used to capture rich information about attitudes and beliefs. These two sessions prepare professionals to organise and moderate focus groups. 

Participants will learn the essentials of focus groups, how to develop a moderator’s guide, and how to moderate focus groups. 

The sessions will be supplemented with real-life examples and hands-on activities.

This is an online program comprising two (2) 4-hour sessions within a five day period. Attendance at each session is required and activities need to be completed between sessions. A minimum of 6 participants is required.

 

Workshop Design and Facilitation

With a background in research into how learning and new understanding takes place for individuals and groups, GR Consulting designs workshops that achieve required outputs. 

GR Consulting uses the client’s purpose and required outputs to create structured runsheet for the workshop. It contains the process steps developed with the client so participants find them meaningful and can see their relevance. These steps use learning processes which are inclusive and draw on participants’ current knowledge and skill as the starting point for change and development.

Once designed GR Consulting can also facilitate your workshop face to face or online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams. In doing so we use the run sheet developed with the client.

 

Evaluation Surveying and Reporting

GR Consulting is qualified and experienced in all facets of surveying for research and evaluation. Research methods are available for qualitative or quantitative data collection and interpretation with assessment of practice change and community social research, two areas in which we specialise.

Once designed survey data can be collected, analysed, interpreted and reported in the framework of the client’s purpose and outputs.

Our experience includes using interpretation of collected data to make recommendations backed by evidence which is provided in detailed reports. From the detail a short-version Snapshots Report is prepared to highlight key findings.

 

Professional Editing and Writing

Journalism training has GR Consulting able to write to client requirements for business documentation as well as the skills to proofread and edit client-produced documents including manuals, resumes and cover letters.
